How much does it cost to skydive in Dubai?

It depends on quite a few factors.

Firstly, will be the company you decide to skydive with.

They will charge different amounts depending on how in demand their services are.

For the biggest and most popular outlets, it may cost a fair bit more.

It will also depend on where you drop, and whether you drop solo or in tandem.

If you’re not an experienced skydiver, then you will be required to tandem jump for at least your first couple of jumps.

A tandem jump with views of the Palm Jumeirah will generally cost around 2,199 AED, or about $600.

In the desert drop zone, it does cost a little less.

Around 1,699 AED, or roughly $460.

This is still a really stunning jump as the desert is an incredible sight to behold.

So, it’s not exactly cheap to skydive in Dubai, but this isn’t a huge deal more expensive than most other places.

Skydiving in general will cost somewhere between $200 and $800 on average, so you can see there’s a fair bit of variation between areas.

But don’t expect to pay more than $600 per person for even the most expensive jump in Dubai.

So, is it really worth it?

Is it worth skydiving in Dubai?

Well, that of course rather depends on your perspective.

Let’s start by assuming that you have already tried skydiving before and are interested in doing it in a new locale.

There is always value to doing this!

You’ll get incredible views of the surrounding area, both the city and the desert.

If you’re interested in seeing an aerial view of this stunning city and the famous Palm Jumeirah, then skydiving in Dubai is definitely worth it.

There’s also the desert drop zone which will undoubtedly be like nothing you have ever seen before.

It will truly take your breath away—and you can’t put a price on that!

It can depend a lot, though.

Skydiving is an activity that is dependent on a lot of conditions that we have no control over.

The wait times may be very long due to weather conditions or even air traffic considerations.

If you’re just on holiday there, whether it’s worth extending your holiday to wait for a time when you can jump could be a rather large financial commitment.

There’s no denying that there can be a lot of waiting and red tape involved with skydiving.

That doesn’t mean it isn’t still worth it in itself—it just, unfortunately, may not really be possible.

How long is the skydive in Dubai?

Generally speaking, skydiving outlets drop you from around 13,000 feet.

The skydive itself, then, will usually end up taking 3 or 4 minutes.

However, this also depends on a lot of factors.

On tandem skydives with a bigger parachute, the time from freefall to ground can be as long as 6 minutes.

If you are more interested in taking in the sights, then discuss with your outlet if you would like a longer fall.

It may well be within their power to do so!

Can I skydive alone in Dubai?

That depends.

You certainly can skydive alone, and there are companies that can facilitate that.

However, you certainly can’t just rush into a solo skydive if you have never skydived before.

You’ll need to complete what’s called the Accelerated Freefall course, which involves around 7 skydives minimum and at least 15 minutes in the tunnel.

As long as you meet these requirements, you should be able to arrange a solo skydive in Dubai.

Each company will, nonetheless, have their own rules about this.

Can you base jump off the Burj Khalifa?

In general, no, you cannot base jump off the Burj Khalifa.

It’s something I’m sure even the non-base jumpers among us have considered.

But it would be entirely the choice of those who own the building, and they usually do not allow it.

They have, in very exceptional circumstances, allowed base jumpers to jump from the building.

But this was only as part of a pretty elaborate PR effort to get the building seen on the world stage in another way.

It’s unlikely you’ll be able to do so, unfortunately.

If you’re looking to skydive in the great city of Dubai, then, you’re certainly not short of options.

There’s a lot to consider before you go ahead and do a skydive, but as long as you do a bit of research, you should have a smooth and memorable experience, skydiving in Dubai.

It’s one of the most stunning locations in the world to skydive, with grand vistas in every direction.
